Hey Bumpsie,

Last Saturday, we celebrated my Birthday
Yes - please remember the date - 13th October. That is the day every year where you will wake up and wish me and give me a very special hug as my gift!

Over the years' your Mumma has been buying me different set of gifts which all hold a very special memory. I have been gifted an awesome Sony headset (which I regularly use), a olive green Allen Solly jacket, a Body Shop hamper to pamper myself and last but not least, a grand visit to the Taj resort in Coorg last year

This year, though, we couldn't travel as I had a lot of office work and Mumma too couldn't do her yearly routine of going to Pheonix Mall to pick up my gifts, as you were in her tummy and the road leading to the mall was pretty bad with all the metro construction work

However, we did start the celebration by watching a movie Andhadhun on Friday night where your Mumma brought me a nice teal coloured kurta and we picked up 2 Whoppers' from Burger King

The next morning, we left early and went to the Egg Factory and relished on some sumptuous breakfast


We then spent some time in In-Orbit mall and returned home. The rest of the day we just relaxed, made a yummy dark chocolate brownie cake and spent some quality time together

Next year, at this time you will probably be too small to enjoy the cake or any of the other gifts, but I promise you that for every Birthday from next year on, you will be the one blowing the candle and cutting the cake on my behalf :)

Ebbanad - II

(This is a continuation from Ebbanad - I. Please read that before continuing here) Our next destination was the forest shack where we were to camp that night. It was a 30 minute downhill trek and we were welcomed there with gracious helpings of veg pulao and curd rice. After rejuvenating ourselves, we began the main part of the trek – through the forests. Ever since our guide had joined us, he had kept telling us stories about their encounters with elephants and tigers. It had raised our hopes of catching a glimpse of a few along the way. But the important thing to remember was that the experience of the guides had been accumulated over decades of years and by calculating the average it was obvious that our chances of seeing any animal in one day was very bleak. A Fairytale....

It was the 4th of July, I was in Mumbai looking forward to what was probably the most important day of my life. It was also the day that the Rain gods showered the might of the rains, on this island city. Little did they know that the rains were the last thing to stop me from meeting the most important girl I had ever known and to express my feelings for her. It had been raining all morning and I had kept my fingers crossed that it would eventually stop. I delayed my departure from my home for an hour in that hope, but at 11am I simply put on my jacket and left. I told her that I would be reaching at around 12:30pm, considering all the delays in the train……and it was real heartening to see her concern for me, as she made sure that I call her multiple times during my train journey from Tilaknagar to Vile-Parle .
