Maturity

Date: 27th October 2025

Dear Kapish,

I wanted to highlight some situations which we experienced over the past few weeks and your reaction to them

1. Your first long overnight flight to HongKong, where you slept at an odd hour and we woke you up in the middle of the night to have breakfast

Your reaction: Complete support without any crying or complaining

2. We land in HK and reach the hotel, where they tell us that the check-in can only be done 3 hours later. So after a long flight, we have to spend some more time before resting

Your reaction: Complete support and not a single word of complaint or disgust

3. The other day in the Valistus bus, instead of your usual seat, you went up to another senior student and asked if you could sit next to her. She said 'No' and you went back to your regular seat

Your reaction: When we asked you about it, you told us that you were trying to make new friends and when she said No - you did feel a little bad, but didnt sulk or make a big deal about it

4. In a HK store, kids go on picking up stupid stuff which looks colourful and force their parents to buy it for them

Your reaction: As usual you picked yet another pencil box and the thing you were most interested is in the self billing section at the checkout

5. At HK airport, standing in a big Immigration line - kids tend to loose patience and force their parents to pick them while other roam around disturbing others

Your reaction: Quietly waiting in line and even observing that other people have passports of a different colour and you were curious to know why!

You see Kapish, this isn't typical the way a 6.5 year old reacts!

You are very different from the usual crowd and showing signs of maturity at a very early age. The other thing which stands out is your curiosity and strength of observation and we do hope these attributes take you ahead in your lifetime

However, in the end, you are still a little kid. Because as I was about to leave for a work trip, you hugged me tightly and even shed a few tears because you know you were going to miss me a lot

And trust me Kapish, as I write this from the hotel room in Haifa, Israel - I am missing you like crazy and cant wait to be back doing 'huggsie' to you and see you like this first thing in the morning

Cheers,

Dadoo
