Circle of Life

I was watching the movie 'Jurassic Park' yesterday at dinner time and came across this interesting dailogue between the actor jeff Goldblum and the actress in the movie:

Actor:
"The Circle of Life is intersting...
GOD makes DINOSAURS..
GOD destroys DINOSAURS..
GOD makes MAN...
MAN destroys GOD...
MAN makes DINOSAURS..."

On hearing this, the actress exclaims:

Actress: "DINOSAURS eat MEN........WOMEN rule the world!!!"

About a decade ago, people thought that this was the only way Women could go on to rule the world. But as we all know now, the tide has changed. Look around and you see women dominating the world, ruling the roost and calling the shots...in all fields from politics to business. Some common names that come to mind are Sonia Gandhi, Hillary Clinton, Angela Merkel, Indira Nooyi, Kiran Muzumdar Shaw and Chanda Kochhar.

Though a lot of guys will disagree with me, I somehow feel that it is the Women, who will lead us into the next generation. So, on India's 62nd Independence Day, I wish to Thank all the women in my life, who have helped me become what I am today and will also determine wht becomes of me tommorrow.

My Mom - I havn't said it enough, but I miss you a lot.
My sisters - I wish I was more closer to all of you.
My female friends - who have taught me key lessons in my quest to become a gentleman
And the most important one ...my lovely Girl Friend - whom I trust with all my life...someone I can always rely on to bring a smile on my face.....

I would have said "Cheers to you all", but I can't....It's a dry day today!! (apne vasoolon ke khilaaf), so I'll simple say....

HIP HIP HURRAY!!!!!

In a world where some men even today are comfortable with treating women as either slaves or objects, I find a man who values women and writes about it also, truely amazing!

Interesting...you are thanking all the women after u met ur spcl one... never before that :P...jokes apart...Good to know your thoughts.. which reminds me on initial days talk when we were talking something about girls coming late in the night and you very authoritatively said "We say come on time, not because we are curtailing your freedom but because we want you to be safe" :)... We know you care a lot :)

Ebbanad - II

(This is a continuation from Ebbanad - I. Please read that before continuing here) Our next destination was the forest shack where we were to camp that night. It was a 30 minute downhill trek and we were welcomed there with gracious helpings of veg pulao and curd rice. After rejuvenating ourselves, we began the main part of the trek – through the forests. Ever since our guide had joined us, he had kept telling us stories about their encounters with elephants and tigers. It had raised our hopes of catching a glimpse of a few along the way. A Fairytale....

It was the 4th of July, I was in Mumbai looking forward to what was probably the most important day of my life. It was also the day that the Rain gods showered the might of the rains, on this island city. Little did they know that the rains were the last thing to stop me from meeting the most important girl I had ever known and to express my feelings for her. It had been raining all morning and I had kept my fingers crossed that it would eventually stop. I delayed my departure from my home for an hour in that hope, but at 11am I simply put on my jacket and left.
